Why We Care

Established in the early 1960's, Thomas Jeffery was the founder member of T J Vickers and Sons car dealers covering the Shrewsbury, Telford and Shropshire area, operating from Don Service Station, Telford. Soon after younger son Steve joined the fold with elder son Colin completing the partnership in June 1965.

After 17 years of constantly reinvesting profits in used car stock, Colin and Steve had the chance to purchase Salopian Motors on Trench Road. They did so and then took on the Fiat franchise, at the same time Colin's son Ian also joined the company, since then the business has gone from strength to strength expanding into Shrewsbury with our Suzuki dealership.

In 2005, to compliment the Telford operation, T J Vickers Shrewsbury moved to the town's Battlefield Enterprise Park and now offers both Suzuki and Fiat products. 2010 saw the opening of their second Suzuki site on Trench Rd, Telford, further enhancing the commitment to both brands throughout Shropshire.

Current Co Directors Ian Vickers and Matthew Cole continue the family tradition into the 21st century with the support of a professional and vastly experienced team, backed up by two superb manufacturers, creating innovative products.
